Tractor Sizing Correct front tire size 155D

Hi someone replaced front tires with 155.12 automotive tires Tractor has 8-16 turf tires on rear. I checked yanmar owners and it lists 5.00 12 as fronts for 1300D (doesnt list 155d sizes) but most websites list 5-12 Is 5-12 the same as 5.00 12? I want to replace these tires with Ag tires . Has anyone changed from turf to Ag tires and kept the same rims? Thanks ,

If you have 8-16 turf tires on the rear, use 6-12 turf tires on the front.
When you switch to 8-16 Ag tires on the rear, put 5-12 Ag tires on the front.
The size numbers are nominal, not exact, the 8-16 turf tire has a larger O.D. than an 8-16 Ag tire so you have to use a larger O.D. tire on the front.
As for using the same rims, I don't see what it would hurt.
