I wish I had saved a link: A post elsewhere from a trucker, with a photo out his windshield as he comes down a snow-covered logging road in the woods.

He says he's rushing those logs to the paper mill that makes TP, as fast as he can. "Help is on the way!"

NY Fire dept don't call unless you are having trouble breathing

Doesn't 911 already field some calls from people who got poor service at micky d ?
If 911 is buried in calls, shouldn't the hospitals be out of beds at this point ?

I haven't watched TV news, or anything at all on TV in well over five years. I haven't even checked any of the news websites I normally do (UPI, US News, Reuters, NPR, Courthouse News Service) in over a month.

A friend of mine is well connected in the Philadelphia PA medical community and got me access to the number one neurosurgeon there, head of dept. for an operation on my lower back, which has basically collapsed and pinching nerves make it hard to walk. This dept did the fusion of my neck ten years ago and did a superb
job. So I'm all ready to make the call to get a first consult, when this mess occurs.

His email today: The hospital is gearing up for a huge Virus influx. Perhaps peaking in MAY. Penn has cleared 500 beds and there’s virtually no elective surgery being done unless it’s to save a life My issue for sure is not life saving and they simply don't want you in their beds, any bed, with this facing them.

So I have to wait. Probably will be June before I get in there.
I wonder how many folks will be seriously hurt by this delay, folks with diseases, issues that should be handled now vs later.
This affects a lot of people.

Beaufort County is being shut down on Monday at 5pm. My landscaper is really upset, told him to get a ruling on that for outdoor workers.
All those lawns in Florida and elsewhere being mowed by services. Are our lawns going to get as long as our hair?...

My farm went on the market last week. Realtor said it was as if someone unplugged the phone line. Totally dead.

I grew up in a TV station. Gave up on commercial TV in the early '90s. I've been getting International, National, and State news through my local public radio affiliate Michigan Public Radio. (NPR, BBC, Reuters, etc.) I see things on fb I'd like to share elsewhere, like:

Thank the idiots on spring break for spreading it.

Lets not leave out those well-meaning church-goers, wedding celebrants, and Mardi Gras participants that couldn't stay apart. :worried:
