Coronavirus: Asian nations face second wave of imported cases

I wonder if we are going to another wave of active cases after getting so many back home from Europe recently in the short window we gave them to get back to the USA?

I'm more concerned with the college kids going home after spring break. They aren't going back to college. They're going home to their older parents, grandparents, and communities.

One said it always feels good to get out... another said the public had little to worry because if they go back to crime they will get picked up.

Now SF is looking for on the spot hiring of 1000 nurses.

I had the same thought went I saw the article below. They got a week at the beaches with one on one contact it seems. If they get on planes, trains and buses drag it back to their home states it is not going to be good.

Just learned TN (3 miles south of my house) has done next to nothing to limit social contacts and many from TN work at the local hospital and clinics.

There wasn't any "short window". They had all the time in the world. THEY decided they wanted to come home right now.

I'm glad I'm not still down there but I was born less than 1/2 mile as the crow flies from Clearwater Beach...

Most of the traffic will be either air carrier or personal vehicles right up Interstate 75...I talked to my brother (who still lives there in Pinellas Co.)...said at the time there were only 6 cases in Pinellas...

Watch and see if the cases along the I-75 corridor to the north does not increase exponentially with the number of cases reported in Pinellas Co/Clearwater Beach...

This kind of thing is what might push this mess out 6-18 months that some are talking about leading to wave after wave. Thankfully they are being tested and will work to manage the fall out.

OMG The PA governor just ordered all non life sustaining businesses closed by 8 pm tonight. What do you do lock the door and walk away? Maybe you lay everybody off and look for the disaster aid forms. How many businesses will be left after this?

Record unemployment claims and personally know friends and tenants laid off.

All I know are under 40... I will help where I can when tenants are doing the best they can...

A little worried as one home has 5 under 30 working many Gig jobs and one travels extensively... greater chance for exposure.

I heard The Vice President say it could last into July. I lot of small businesses are like sharks. It's swim or die. Too much overhead to last very long without income.
