Virus good news... I am scheduled for jury duty this week. Just called the Jury Reporting Line and I don't have to report... all trials have been postponed 28 days. :cool2: Wasn't looking forward to it. Done it a couple times before. Some long boring days unless you get selected. Was the Foreman for one trial and that made it somewhat interesting.

A large portion of the thread is about personal responses and experiences etc...(stocking up etc.)

Life for civil servants like LEOs and first responders will be a real challenge...The people I have the most compassion for though is those that live alone except for the elderly parent etc. that they care for...not only are they burdened with having to fend for themselves but they have to live with the fear of getting sick and exposing the loved one they care for...

Truth.
When I was flying back and forth between Iraq and Afghanistan I had to be weighed with all my gear!!!! Don't recall any penalty, probably more to get an accurate load tally for the Cargo Planes we were loaded into.

Airlines estimate that you weight X and your luggage weighs Y per carry on and Z per checked bag and the loadmaster uses that (along with the sold seats list) to decide where to put the baggage in the hold.

I'm 68. Anyone older remembers they hardly ever closed school. It would be snowing like crazy and we'd have the radio on, rejoicing when they announced our school was closed. Most of the time busses would have chains on.
Now it's 2020. We live in very litigious times. A kid gets sick at school, later confirmed to be Covid-19 and all **** breaks loose. Everyone gets sued...parents, principal, superintendent, list goes on.
At work someone goes in sick, others get it, everyone "responsible who could have should have prevented it" gets sued.
From the President on down, everyone must take it seriously or mayors, employers, etc. could be sued.
Haven't heard this on the news...but possible?

If you are sick stay home.
if you have difficulty breathing, chest pains, stop urinating, or organ failure go to the hospital. If tested positive and can't breath hope a ventilator will help, if not, adios. What else do you expect from the medical society that has no cure and only gives a flu vaccine for last years flu?

Since it can be spread BEFORE symptoms should EVERYONE stay home so they don't get sued. Then this really is the end of the world as we know it because people are scared of being sued. So that's how it all ends.
