I'm sure one of the 'politically motivated' posters will stop in and ruin it shortly. If the moderators (I know a few) would just 'prune' the comments instead of locking the entire thread, would be nice, but then being a referee on a forum is an unpaid position, I can understand the motivation for just locking a thread. Who wants to 'prune' when you can 'chainsaw' the whole thing.

Pruning takes time, 'chainsawing' is instant...

Think this thread should be left in the hands (pruning) of the moderator who is commenting on it right now. He seems to have a handle on it pretty well..... hint, hint.....:thumbsup:

He’s been pruning all along... just before #3 got closed I was thinking that it might make the 2 week mark. Perhaps that’s what jinxed it. (I also was thinking that it was the most read thread I’ve ever started)

If I have a friend/neighbor that is desperate for supplies that are sold out, I'll help them out. I won't price gouge them either, probably just give them the goods. We are all in this together and we will get through this together. Remember, we still have to live together after covid-19 is long gone.:drink:

That’s the attitude which we all should have. I normally buy TP in bulk, and was about due when this came along. I could have bought my usual supply, but seeing how empty the aisle was I grabbed the smallest package.
The one thing which I am stocking up on is gallon jugs of water; my well isn’t the best so I use bottled water for drinking and cooking.

Yeah, that thought crossed my mind. We have a wedding to go to next weekend 150 miles from here. Don't expect a huge crowd by any means but will easily contact another 50 people. The multiplication table goes crazy if I'm a carrier.

Without a doubt. And sadly I find those parenting skills very lacking in a lot of cases.

Yeah, except that never works......see the current illegal drug plague as an example.

What might be tried, IMHO, is more responsibility. You smoke for 50 years after getting clear warnings it's not healthy and get lung cancer ? Either you pay for your medical costs (no government aid) or you die.

Yeah, something needs to change. We cant go on "carrying" people who smoke/vape any longer. Its no surprise to see how many people who smoke/vape die, who would normally survive, from respiratory illnesses.

It seems like a good way to thin out the gene pool to me.

Since I moved here over 20 years ago, someone has died in nearly every house on this road. In some houses, everyone that lived here then has died. Some houses are now vacant, others have new, younger occupants.

Other houses have occupants that are now (obviously DUH!) older, some of whom are in failing health such as heart problems.

That is all my school district is any more.....day care until they are 18 years old. We have lost the focus of getting the kids ready for the real world by there late teens and many parents are not showing tough love either.
