I used to have a Sharp-shinned hawk that would come to earth like Thor. All you would see is feathers...

Did a little late-night walking around the yard.

Earlier this year in June. Came up over a hill and spied a hen turkey and 17 little ones. Momma clicked, and they took off for the edge of the field into some grass and within 10 seconds, all was quiet. Hmm, where did they ALL go, not a peep.

This week in the back yard. All young from this spring. Looks like plenty of survivors.

We put water out so we can watch the quail. Once in a while we get to see this guy...

Seen today. Three adult hens with who's brood? Turkey population is sure high here.
