While hiking a property yesterday we spied this crap on the ground. We thought it was a bear who'd been eating grain. What do you think? We have seen bear scat many times before but this looked more runny and colorful.

not so much a cool nature photo lol ... I would say it's indeed bear crap, they eat lots of berries during this time of the year some of which has seeds, which explain the color and they do eat corn as well... unless its not crap at all, but if it's crap for sure then it's 100% bear crap.

Looks like bear scat to me.
Black bears in these parts will eat about any type of seed/grain

I've tried getting pics of humming birds, and it's something like 50 bad pictures for every one that's half decent. And probably 1 in 500 for a really good picture!!!!

My humming birds will pose all day, until I pull out a phone or camera, and then they're off.
I have zero good hb pics so far and the feeder is right outside my living room glass door.

I love watching their "Helicopter Wars" as I call it.
The dominant one tries to chase away the others from the feeder.
When he takes after one, others sneak in.
This little struggle entertains me for hours on the back deck.
You get to recognize individuals and cheer for your favorite.
