The waning Super Blue Moon.
The full moon is amazing, but it is rather flat and boring.
The moon does not give off any light. If it did, it would always be full. When we get a full moon, it's because the sunlight is hitting it directly. When you see the moon in different phases it's because the light from the sun is hitting it at different angles.
When the light hits the surface at an angle, that's when you start to see the contrast of the moon's surface.
