This whole tractor has been a low budget job...$400 for everything!!
I wanted to mount the cylinder under the axle with an "L" arrangement but that didn't happen.I need to make a top link that'l go around the cylinder yet...mind you..it ain't done and it sure ain't purdy...

Bob, I had looked at that pic before and had 1/2 thought about adding to the above post " other than Bobodu'' not that what you are doing will not work, but was for something a little different. After reading 18 pages of your project at MBN, of course with a fine sprinkling of humor and some BS, I realize we are a lot a like. Plenty.. Including one that used one of those 12v hyd power units to power a small lift cyl the that turned a rockshaft using a piece of pipe as a seat for the shaft. The rockshaft lifted two fixed upper arms. then they had lift links to lower arms that were fastned to a lower bracket.
I've also seen a similar setup to that on a garden tractor, using a bottle jack as the lick.. and the handle stuck out between the seat and fender for the user to manuall pump the bottle jack up.. an extension was added tot he drop valve so that it could also be reached convieniently.. That one was the neatest looking one.

Cleatus I had one of those that hte handlewas beaten out of so I used a convertibles hydraulic roof pump and an out board motor cylinder. I had one customer mountasmallhydraulic highspeed worm drive motor in his andle with asprocket and chain. bvoth setups worked pretty good on the little tractors. What kind of tires are theose Ditch Witch?
