Has anyone converted their pin on bucket to the standard SSQA type but not removing the original bucket ears??
I would really appreciate the input if they have.

I have a Ford /New Holland pin on bucket on my Ford that I want to convert but leave the bucket intact to use on another tractor as well>
I was thinking if I made up pin adapters out of DOM steel tubing for the 1 inch pins that fit between the ears and weld them to heavy flat stock
maybe 3/8" x 4" x4" or 2 stepped layers of 5/16", then weld that to the SSQA plate.

Then buy/make adapters for the loader arm side to the QA/ latch bracket that palletforks.com has.
And then get a second set of 1 inch pins.

That way the plate would be removeable to use the bucket elswhere and not extend the connection out too far to the loader.

I want to upgrade to a 4 in 1 bucket but cannot afford to yet. When I do this bucket could stay on the other tractor.

Will the SSQA plate fit between the bucket ears? You need 44 inches.

Unfortunately no, good thinking but I had thought of that. I have only 32 3/4" on this 60" bucket.
And this is fairly heavy duty with 3/8" plates for the bucket ears.

Nobody has done this??
I am trying to find an adapter or make one for the bucket side. I think I remember seeing some made by Washburn equipment or something like that.
I will keep searching for the answer.

Xfaxman,

Thank you that is the one. I need to make a set of weld on adapters to match the SSQA plate to the bucket ears.
I can probably make from 3" x 3" - 5/16 or 3/8 angle.
And then attach the loader side and I should be good.
