Controller Cover on B2320 What is it for?

In my attempt to understand the QIV (quarter inching valve) on my 2320 I noted that the right control lever cover that holds the stops is ruined by the stop bolts being wrenched on too hard by the dealer??? I will see if this can be replaced but I noticed a square cover on the same assembly listed as a Controller Cover. What is this for? What option would go here? I know what I will use it for (light switch) but what was Kubotas intentions here?

The panel is probably for optional rear hydraulics. I used mine for light switches.

How is the lever guide ruined? I can imagine a blemish, but doubt it could affect functionality unless there was a large crack. If it just looks bad, I'd suggest you not worry about it. The tractor will become beat up once you put some hours on it.

True. It is already opposite of showroom... My issue is the bolts holding the limits in place crushed the plastic to a point that is is thin and almost unusable in that position. My 1/4 inching stops are / were not adjusted from the factory / dealer to work on delivery. So if where they were torqued down in the proper spot I would say no big deal. But since I will need to move the positions of them now to make it work I have a problem.

As far as I know, they are all like that (not saying it's right, just that it's typical, so I'd suspect the tractor ships in the crate with the stops cranked down in a default position). I would just position the stop where you want it, and then tighten down the bolt. It shouldn't affect anything. My B2920 was the same way, and I recall having to move the upper stop about 3/4" to get it to the right place.
