On my GC2400, when I lift up my 3pt hitch the control handle does not go back to the neutral position, is this normal? I have to manually put it back to the neutral position or the hydraulic with just wine until I move the handle. Down position the handle stays down but there is no hydraulic wine. My old 2510 JD, the handle would spring back to the neutral position up or down.

Surprised no one with a GC2400 or similar model Massey has not answered this post. Maybe it was just lost in all the other posts as there are so many good ones to read. If anyone can help with my question please do.
Thanks Gary:D

Hi,

The 3 point hitch lever can be adjusted so that it returns to neutral automatically both after it has raised completely or lowered completely. Take a look at the linkages and you'll see the adjustment points. I fined tuned this last year and it now works like a charm. When working correctly all you need to do is raise handle in the up position and let go, the hitch will raise until it approaches the end point then the lever returns to neutral by itself.

Thanks, I am pretty sure it worked correctly when i bought the machine but the dealer took it back to replace the back fender area because it is made of plastic and the color had faded. The new on is plastic also but is painted red so will not fade as easily. The must of got the linkage screwed up when the put it back on.
Thanks again.
