Considering this new trailer.

Maybe I'm confused about the brand, but I could swear Load Trail was one of the brands I put on my black list when I was trailer shopping because the welds were garbage and the undersides were unpainted bare steel (several, maybe even most trailers are sold this way).

I had a Load Trail dump and still have a Load Max car hauler, they are a fine trailer with good paint/powder coat. The dump in this picture is 4 years old, still looks good.

One thing on the trailer the original poster linked, the ramps are self cleaning with the open grate, but the dovetail above the ramp is solid steel deck which could be slick when wet. Some trailers have a self cleaning dovetail above the self cleaning ramps. Maybe the trailer is available with self cleaning dovetail?

Rice are made not far from me south of Poplar Bluff. They have a good reputation around here and there used to be probably a dozen trailer manufacturers in the Missouri Bootheel. There are lots of new and used ones in the Midwest if you look on FB Marketplace.

I've had my Load Trail 24' car hauler for 6 years now, it has been an excellent trailer and the powder coat hasn't chipped/peeled yet. My fenders are removeable with 2 bolts on each one and the top of the tires are right at deck level - plenty good for loading and opening doors if hauling a car. Very well-made trailer in my opinion.

My PJ has powder coat paint, and the paint is holding up just fine, so I don't see any problems with it at all, on my trailer.

Powder coat paint, is just like any paint, is all about the prep...

This is what the Bull and I will be doing today. Delivering a JD high lift. Picked up yesterday from the seller, delivering at noon today to the buyer 1.5 hours away. Charging $500.
