considering ck25

Hi all,

I've been reading these forums for a number of weeks now. Enjoy and appreciate the information being exchanged! I considering to buy a ck25 gear drive TLB. I've talked to the local dealer, who quoted me an even $20K. Is this a good price?

Secondly, I test drove the new TYM T273 HST, which is similar in horse power on a smaller frame - really more comparable size wise to the CK20. I was very impressed with it's construction and design features. For those considering the CK20, I suggest you give the TYM T273 a look as well. I loved its maneuverability. However, it's just not big enough for all the digging I have to do, and costs about the same as the CK25 (at least right now).

Any reason not to buy the CK25? I can get a Century C29 for the same money.

Prices must be up, I paid $16,800 for a DK 35 with a FEL in August of last year.

Coasterez is getting a backhoe included however and that adds about 6000 for a KB2375 or 5000 for a 2365.

I bought the ck25 gear drive TLB in late October, with the 7.5' hoe. I think I paid around 19,500 delivered but that is after taxes and with KIOTI's cash back. I couldn't be happier /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif. I looked at just about every model out their and for my location this was the best bang for the buck. I have no regrets on my decision and would do it again in a heart beat.

Thats a fair price. Sure you could save money by purchasing from a dealer a little further away but if you want to build trust with your local dealer then he is not trying to rip you off if that is what you want to hear. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

If you have questions you can PM me about the CK25. I have one w/o the backhoe and it has done everything I have wanted it to with in it's limits. About 75hrs on it now. - With the gear drive it is either going to pull it, push it or spin the tires in low gear. I bush hog about 6.5 acres, takes me a fair part of the day in 4gear Low range. Great for digging fence posts too.

Your price sounds about right right if a backhoe runs you an additional 6k. Alot of people would recommend going to the CK30, since it allows a few implements of the next size up, but it depends on your budget. CK25 is designed to run 5' implements and the CK30 runs more of the 6' implements. (CK25,CK30 is 5' wide). However my budget only allowed me to get the CK25. Would have I liked to get the CK30 or DK 35, DK45. probably who wouldn't want more power. In any regards, you will have to test drive all of the models you are considering and determine which is the best fit for you. I'm happy with my purchase and the dealer I went through.

I know of no reasons not to buy the CK25. Compared to the other tractors you mentioned, I think you will find it to have a lot more A$$ in it. It is a well-featured tractor and has plenty of pulling power. Of course, the backhoe is the backhoe, and will do the same amount of work regardless of which tractor it's on.
The Century seems to be a good tractor, with a little more power, if you need it, but make sure you're including each and every item from the Kioti pricing, and compare warranties closely. Between the two, I'm sure I would still go Kioti after having had mine for over two years and nearly 400 hours.

Thanks to all for your feedback. I considered the ck30, and, of course, we would all like as much power as we can get. But, because I'm mostly going to be using it for digging and hauling, the extra power that might be needed for PTO implements isn't as important. Though I do intend to dig post holes for about 400 feet of fence line. I will continue to cut grass with my JD425 AWS; it is one heck of a grass cutting machine with little or no trimming required. So, there is no reason to use the ck for mowing.

For digging, I think the heavier the better, and that is what led me to the kioti to begin with. Though, I think the Century C29 is more tractor for the money. But, the Century dealer is over 100 miles away. So, I've kinda discounted that direction for this reason. Based on the guy in Berryville's price, (which isn't that far from me), I think I might be paying a few dollars more than I should have to. Maybe the dealer will cut me a break on the implements. We will see.......

That was last year, I know alot of the dealers here said there would be a price increase this year. You might also want to look at the LK 3054 XS TLB if your not going to be taking the backhoe off too much. I looked at it also, real nice set up for digging with the seat under the canopy. The dealer I used had to order my CK25 but had the LK 3054 XS TLB on the lot and said if I wanted that one he would give it to me for roughly the same price. Just my two cents worth. Good luck with your decision.

Ok guys,

I did it! CK25 delivered today - shuttle, loaded tires, KL130 loader with tooth bar, Rhino 75 bh, woods 84" blade, bush hog phd. What a beauty! After spending an hour or so with the dealer going over everything, I wasted no time puttin' her to work. It only took a few minutes. Moved a couple of yards of compost and dug up a huge walnut stump. That backhoe is awesome!

Dealer was super, BTW.

I showed the dealer where I was planning to use her to put in a driveway, and he said I should definitely post some pics cause everyone would get a kick out of seeing the size of that bank (before I put the kioti to it). I will post some pics ASAP. Right now it's very muddy round here. So, I'll wait til it dries out to take on that embankment. Guess I'll just have to settle for stumping.
