Connecting That PTO Equipment

Does the PTO engagement lever have multiple positions? Granted mine is a JD not a NH but I have three positions (not marked but you can feel them) Engaged, Neutral, and Disengaged/Brake. In the Neutral position I can turn the PTO shaft.

Here's a little side note about PTO connecting. If the drive shaft is dirty in the spline area, I use a plumbers pipe fitting brush (I think one for 1 1/4 pipe)to clean it.

FYI - Here is another alternative for TC35 and TC40 owners. Just got my TC40D service and parts manual. If you purchase the MID PTO (of coarse it's not available on the TC45) and you disengage the rear PTO, the rear PTO will be free wheeling.
