I just bought a belltec hydraulic auger with the skid steer style plate to mount up to my loader. I am going to have to purchase some hoses for it tomorrow. I do have remotes on the rear of my tractor but this would require 50' of hose (25' each). This is doable but I was sitting in the seat and it is kind of hard to operate both the hydraulic controls for the remote and the up and down on the FEL at the same time. I was thinking of maybe attaching the belltec to the tilt controls for the FEL. This would rewuire much shorter hoses as the connections are on the middle of the tractor and then I would be able to control up and down as well as rotation with the joystick. I don't see any reason why one would need to adjust the tilt once the belltec is hooked up as it pivots anyway. Good idea or bad idea?

It would work fine...as long as you have the proper GPM rating to power the auger.
