I posted the same on another forum and got this reply:

"How dare you, sir! Those fine snakes have never cost me a dime and you compare them to congress?"

He is right, the pit vipers do serve some useful purpose....

Our parliament is in session, too. I really did not think that pit vipers would live this far north due to the prolonged cold weather.
