I'm in Southeast TX and was wondering if anybody had an idea on concrete prices... finished or just material. I'm looking at a 30x30 pad 4" thick which is just a little over 11 cu. yards.

Thanks.

I am in NE Texas and seems I remember being quoted $72.50 a yard for 'crete just a while back. That is up from $62.50 a yard just 5 years ago when I poured the slab for my barn/house. Seems steel isn't the only thing affected by the recent industrialization of some of our global neighbors, eh? I thought concrete around Houston was going for closer to $80/yd or better but that is just hearsay.

I talked to a small contractor about doing an addition and carport and he said that concrete is currently $100 /cu.yd. That is going to hurt.

This was two weeks ago.

Thanks guys. That'll get me in the ballpark. I'm just trying to get a rough estimate together. I'll figure high and hope to come in low! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I need around forty five yards of the stuff and it will be delivered next week. In my search I found prices as low as 90 per yard and as high as 128. A contractor friend of mine is getting me a deal for 87.50. That's as good as it gets in my home town. The last load I got four years ago was 45 dollars a yard.

Good luck with your project.

Tom
