Computer Trouble

/ Computer Trouble #31
I don't want to get into a long discussion about this because I don't have the facts to get deep... But, /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif in terms of clearing memory leaks (because that is what we were talking about), any cold boot should fix'em. I know that some BIOSes clear every memory location and most if not all do a complete memory test on a cold boot. With a cold boot, everything in RAM is loaded anew and the processor reset.

Now, how much time you should keep the system off with regards to what's good for the hardware; I'll leave that to the hardware geeks... (altho, i don't remember any problems with my "few" second rule in the zillions of cold reboots i've performed over the past ^$$@*#@&* years... /w3tcompact/icons/eyes.gif just had a thought... how much older i would be now if i waited 10+ seconds on all those boots!?!? /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif)

ok... i'm done...
