Hello everyone!
I picked up my new 853 recently, and I think it will make a great companion piece for the larger Kioti. I'm really looking forward to gardening season!! I can't wait!! Do any of you guys use a paired system for large and small machines? I'm curious how well they work together, and if there is anything you guys have run across that you couldn't do with a combo like this on your hobby farm. I am chomping at the bit for better weather. Thanks!
Brian Lee

Congratulations Brian, excellent choice. Now I have tractor envy!!
What do you mean by a 'paired system'?

We just drove to Florida and back, visiting my wife's family, stopped in at EarthTools in Kentucky to pick up a Berta 26" flail mower for our BCS732. Saved $300 (Canadian) shipping and duty free. C'mon Spring.

Wes you're going to love that 26 in. Berta. It is built like a tank. I have hit fence wire, concrete, etc by accident numerous times. A little blade damage but it hasn't affected the mower at all.

I live in south Alabama where we have heavy underbrush. It doesn't like larger saplings, but any material up to 1 in. hardwoods(1.5 in. soft woods), it mulches with ease and leaves a very fine finished product. You can run through heavy weeds, briers, and tall grass in 2nd gear and have a near manicured look in 1 pass. Ive actually found that even with only a 26 in. cut, it's more productive than a commercial zero turn for mowing down seriously neglected lawns because you can run at almost 3 mph. without slowing up and only need 1 pass.

My wife is Canadian btw. What part are you from?

Yeah sorry about that man. She's from New Brunswick.

Good luck with the new equipment everyone. Ive owned a BCS 853 for 2 yrs now. 28 in. Bellon rotary cutter, 26 in. Berta flail mower, and Caravaggi stump grinder. I don't know everything, but I've put this machine through its paces commercially so if anyone has questions about my experiences with these feel free to ask.
