Land ownership I think rates very highly on both continents... not enough in Europe when held for generations almost as a sacred trust and those coming to North and South America with dreams of owning.
I think the difference is collectively we don't think the same when it comes to future generations as the Europeans I came to know.
Part is children here don't put the same value on it either .. not taught one might say

Heck one part of the US doesn't care how another part does it. My parents moved south for better weather... don't ever say "Well up North it is done by.....".
