95% of the time the valve is open and the soft ride is used. Traveling empty and transporting loads much smoother.

Transporting steel beams on forks every bounce is rough and can slide. Soft ride engaged much soother. Close valve to set steel, an example.

Handy to be able to operate valve from the operator station.

Great example on the use of the shut off valve.

One can also get fancy and get a solenoid operated shut off valve instead of the manual valve and just put a button on the joystick, like most factory setup works.

I still have the double ball valve, single throw that came with the Kubota soft ride kit. Looks expensive $$$. Suppose to be mounted on the FEL frame tower. Don’t know if it could be reached from the operator station easily. Wasn’t made for my loader so went a different route.

Did install a needle throttling valve in case I needed to fine tune. Not necessary so far.

You can even mount it at the back of the tractor. Just need to run a longer hose and connect it to the lifting line.
My valve is always open, I never close it. I can feel some movement when stacking bales.
