Comb-bar Anyone?

Seems like Comb-Bar is what it should be called...

THEY call it an EZ LANDSCAPER ATTACHMENT /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Read about it here...

I am inpressed with the quality of my H&H toothbar, and think one of these things could be just as useful in its own way.

Anyone have one? Any commnets/advice before I lay the cash on the table?

I don't know the cost yet...perhaps if I find out I may decide the toothbar is all I need. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Henro, I also saw that and like it. Did you get any budget costs ??

The other thing I'd find useful would be a toothbar style attachment similar to manure forks. I think they'd be nice for brush moving and getting in a ripping out light brambles and multi-flora roses. I'd like teeth about 12 - 16" long. Sure the'd get bent up, but if they were easily replaced and fairley cheap that may not be a problem. Anyone seen what I'm thinking of ??

I build a stone fork out of car axels. You could make what you are talking about useing those. they are really tough and don't bend easily and they are cheap. Just go to a junk yard and I only paid 2 bucks each.

It looks like it would be better than the tooth bar for ripping out brush or small tree stumps. With my toothbar I have to try to align the teeth with a root or the base of a small stump [like 4" in diameter] with the toothbar, but this bar with the extra teeth seems like it would grab small stuff pretty well.

Also thought that for smoothing it might work pretty well when back dragging...misc. things like that...looks like this thing could be useful...sure like to hear from someone who has tried one.

I did get list prices for the toothbar I have, and the lanscaper bar. I was told this morning $306 for list for the toothbar I have and $419 for the landscaper bar. The teeth and make up of the landscaper is the same as the toothbar I have, there are simply more teeth welder on the bar. Not sure what my dealer would charge, I would expect less than list.

Is this picture attachment what you're thinking of? This is from the JD parts for my 67 loader and is called a tine bucket, and the plate is called a dirt plate. Did not have a price when I added it to my cart.

Question: When you got your EZ toothbar, was it exactly 1/2" less than the dimension you submitted? Just trying to decide whether to push the tolerances for a slightly tighter fit.

Hmmm, you've got me thinking. For light duty brush moving ( not ripping, but just transporting cut stuff ), why not build some sort of angle or box tube attached to the bucket with 1" pipe flanges welded on at say 12" centers. You could then just thread in 1" pipe at whatever length you need. Won't be real heavy duty, but for moving light stuff.....

Wow, that looks like it could be very useful, as stated by others, for pulling up multiflora rose and brambles, of which I have large quantitities invading my property.

I would say "just about." It is pretty close the inside measurement, and I would have to go check to be sure. But I do know that I don't need any spacers between the bucket and the toothbar end plates that the mounting bolts go through...

Bolts on is what they told me when I called. They also said it should match up with the holes that my toothbar uses... Since my toothbar is manufactured by the same people... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Soarkrebel, these are list prices for a 54" bucket...my dealer would discount somewhat, not sure how much though...wider bucket would cost more.
