LETS ALL GIVE A BIG AHHH! FOR BIRD, poor guy don't know if it might not be too warm to play golf on monday.supposed to be about 60 here on monday also. MONDAY MAY 26 2003./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif /w3tcompact/icons/eyes.gif

Bird -- The really funny thing about living in Vermont is how out of it nationwide chains can be. Dick's Sporting Goods is having a huge sale on outdoor sports stuff. WalMart is bringing out their spring clothing line. Oh, and The Weather Channel Website shows golf conditions at our local club "Very Poor," which is perhaps a bit understated as it is minus 10 and there's five feet of snow on the ground!

Pete

Pete,

That's a great story about the Weather Channel. We don't have much snow at all but do have the chance to have highs out of the teens and clear up to as high as 21 next week. The lows even get into double digits once or twice, too. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I'm leaving Tuesday AM for Las Vegas for four days and, while not hot by any means, those predicted highs in the mid-sixties with overnight lows in the low forties sound pretty good by comparison. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

I thought it was cold here this morning at 7 degrees, compared to some of the other places I guess thats not too bad.../w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Never thought I'd tell anyone this but............Gary, take a jacket to Vegas with ya. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

<font color=red>"damm furance just keep comming on gas co. will be thrilled"</font color=red>

Frank, living across the creek from you as I do I know the feeling. In my case I've been trying to keep the wood stove going to keep the furnace from coming on.If this keeps up I'll have to go up a shirt size from hauling all this wood in.
Be on the lookout saw some "brass monkeys" heading your way........Mike

PS they were walking kind of funny.

I'll have to take two. One for getting around here and another for there. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

<font color=blue>damper on the coffee<font color=blue><font color=black>..indeed and I'm down to only five cups per day. /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif/w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

Far as the fan on high..no thanks but thanks. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Wells its a tad warmer this morning Frank..0.07F /w3tcompact/icons/eyes.gif..but Boondox said colder weather mid week a coming our way -20F and day time highs in the single numbers. /w3tcompact/icons/sad.gif

My better half and I are looking to go south when I retire in a couple of years..southern VA or maybe just in side NC.

Like the old saying goes about New England weather..If you don't like the weather just a min..it will change..I rather change our address, more so in the last several years. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Our local store{Wal Mart-Kmart -Sears etc..} sent out flyers etc.. all ready on lawn mowers & yard and garden supplies even swim suits..brrrr.

Try and purchase a snowblower or even sidewalk salt from these places..Sorry Out Of Stock the sign reads...talk about jumping the gun.

Don't do it, Thomas! They have bugs down there! /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif Big skeeters able to carry off pets and young children!

Pete

Bugs I can take compare to -15F and colder w/ice,but the snakes could be another matter. /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

Thomas,
We have it all, Snakes, (all of the poisonous varieties ) black widow spiders, brown recluse spiders, monster horsflies, big mosquitos, sand gnats, giant cockroaches and fire ants, not to mention alligators. If you do come down here, come in the winter or stay in the mountains!!

Thomas:

I think it's Knight9 That Has the fan turned up now. I've gotten my supply of cold air stored up for next summer.

Now speaking of coffee, the wifes nagging will be minor compared to what you'll get from the rest of us!!

yeah i saw them 2 monkeys walk by here said they fell in the creek, and now their little things is frozen./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif i think i am going to have to plow tommorw as i was in rochester to day, and it was very warm there , all of 16 deg. still would not trade our spring, summer, and fall season for anything.

Egon,

No fan on here! We are finally getting our share of cold and snow, and looks like we're holding on to it for a while. It has been very warm and dry, but we're down into the -15 to -25 range (Celsius for those wondering). Most importantly though we got some snow and the forcast is for more every day this week. We need it bad. Alberta has severe drought conditions so bring it on!!! We'll take all we can get.
