"My vote (hopefully before long) stays with the Evosaw380 from discountsteel.com (no affiliation, no commission, my only motivation here is to hopefully keep people who have NOT pissed me off (if you're reading this, that's you) from buying something they may regret later... "

I must be one of them in good standing then, I give this post two thumbs up for not being politically correct.

B4 friction 'chop saws' were commonly available I shop rigged a 1/2 HP on a pivot arm with a set of bearings to create one that worked well for me for a long time.
I guess using the same principal and a different set of pullyes I could rig one easily.
Hmm, another project.

I thought this was bogus so I watched it anyhow just to confirm it dont work, got to have right saw for right blade. I did learn that this video should of been rated R for language and there are people that swear more than me, I usually have to get upset first before speaking in tongues. I did like the guys attitude about things, 300:>"Factory Retention Tool" that was humorous, I use factory retention tools all the time.

You definitely won't find a new one, and will be hard pressed to find a good used one for five bills. They are generally for hard core production where you need to gang cut 5/8 pickets to do a mile and a half of OI railing and the like. The dry cut carbide blade units that resemble the wood chop saws are a pretty good option for the person who wants clean, accurate cuts and is tired of skinny-wheeling everything.

Lol, got hooked on his videos a month or 2 ago. Been working my way through em. Lots of entertaining language in there, but lots of good mechanical & scientific info too.
