after getting used to diet drinks, regular drinks taste too sweet.

That's me, exactly. I drink diet Mountain Dew or diet Dr Pepper. The regular is too sweet.

The small bottles of "Coke" are still made in Ft. Worth and are unusual to find. I worked for Coka Cola several years ago and got to tour a couple of the plants in Dallas and Ft. Worth. If Coke or Pepsi wither one come out with a new offering, it won't be long before the other has the same thing.

The Diet Coke you buy in bottles or cans is not the same as the Diet Coke you get at a fountain in a fast food place, or any fountain I guess. I've been told that the formula is slightly different and that it's the sweetner used.

I've switched from Diet Coke with Splenda to the Coke Zero and like the Zero better. The Zero with Vanilla is even better. And it's on sale this weekend! :D

I was told years ago that the fountain coke was a little more concentrated so that when it was poured in a glass of ice it would dilute to the proper mixture. Bottled and canned cokes are meant to be pre-cooled and drank from the container and if poured over ice will have a watered-down taste.

Tried a new Diet Pepsi Max today, it seems to be aimed more at Coke Zero than Pepsi One was. BTW, it was very good!

The small glass bottles of Coke are still plentiful, but expensive here in Indiana. However, they do not taste as good as the sugar cane recipe. :(

I agree Rox but even with this diet drink it has to be real COLD.....

The warmer it is the worse it tastes.

I have never cared for the taste of diet soda, jsut could never get past that aspartin (sp?) taste. However for the first time i am drinking a diet soda. Coke Zero, it is really good tasting and has jsut an absolute minimul alost nothing aspertin taste. if you are a regular soda drinker and want to jsut try it you might be amazed.

Tried a Coke Zero yesterday, still couldn't take the after taste, for some reason, I get a headache when I drink diet soda after only a few sips- no doubt the after taste was less than others- worth a try and was hoping this might be the one!
