Hi guys,
Need to know the correct procedure for removing the clutch assembly from a John Deere S1400 trimmer. I need to remove the starter cover to obtain clearance to drill out and extract a broken muffler mounting bolt. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Below is the link to a photo of the engine. Thanks!

Look up in snout for torx head bolt. Then you'll need to lock down the piston so you can unscrew. A piece of recoil rope fed in the sparkplug hole will do it

joecdeere,
Thanks for the help! Do you know by chance which direction to turn the clutch to loosen it? When you pull the starter the crank rotates counter clockwise, so I assumed it would loosen by going clockwise.
