The other day I noticed the hot water was cloudy out of all the faucets in my house. I did some research and found that it is air or gas in the water and that it is in the hot and cold but the hot water makes it visible and that it is harmless. What I could not find is a solution to the problem. Has anyone had this problem and what is the fix? Thanks

I've had cloudy water caused by a break and repair in the suppliers main line . I assume it's air being mixed with the water when the system suddenly refills. You can watch the air rise out of a glass of water when it's like this. The air usually doesn't stay in the pipes very long as it rises out all along the system of pipes. I do notice air coming out of my pipes when I turn the water on because the air collects in the high points of my pipes.
When I was using well water, it would get cloudy after a lot of rain. If it rained enough it would get muddy. It has to clear up by settling over time.

My vote is for a problem with the jet nozzle in the well or a leak in the suction side of the jet pump & associated plumbing

This happens in my cabin all the time. We have a deep well, 280', but we shut the pump off whenever we leave. Air slowly gets into the system and whenever we come back and turn on the pump the faucets spit and sputter and the water looks cloudy. After a while it clears up.
