I was cutting grass this evening, just to finish it before I hit the shower and kick back watching movie with the kids. There is an oak that recently fell down and somehow I got too close to the branches and next thing I know, the tractor is pushing me into a big branch and the end of the branch is right on my solar plexus.
Everything happened so fast, I was not buckled, I think that was a good luck, because the branch lifted me from the seat and started to push me up the ROPS. Tractor kept going forward and right when I got to the most important thought "OH S............T!!!!" the branch broke and I was able to stop the tractor.
Minor scratches on left shin, banged my head good on the ROPS, but my chest looks like somebody tried to gut me with a blunt object:)
Gotta hide this one from the missy:)

A better argument for HYDROSTATIC TRANSMISSION...As you were being pushed back your foot would have stopped pushing on the GO-PEDAL...

Glad you did not require a trip to the ER...

Time to tell SWMBO, that you need a NEW WOOD CHIPPER to deal with all of the branches you are about to cut...:D

I had the exact same thing happen to me while bushhogging except that an overhead vine I had not noticed caught my chin and suddenly lifted me up and back against the ROPS, fortunately, the seat kill switch was intact and saved my neck!

Um, not if you got the cruise set like I usually do.
