Clock on Tractor

/ Clock on Tractor #22
My LS has a clock feature on the Tach but I don't think it keeps accurate time. I have set it numerous times and it is usually off next time I think about checking it. As you can tell, I don't use it anyway. I put away all my expensive watches several years ago when I started working in Africa, didn't want someone hacking off my hand for my watch. Instead I buy the $10-15 digital watches from Walmart. The keep excellent time, last a couple of years or more till the band wears out and then I just toss them and buy a new one. I don't worry about scratching them up or damage. I like the ones with a Velcro band but they seem to fray the cuff badly on my shirts so I went back to the plastic buckle type on the last one I have 2 of the Velcro ones that still work fine.

Here's my new time piece. Thank you Everyone for your comments and suggestions.

Jeff

Looks like you got it "shoehorned" in there pretty well. As long as it's waterproof, you should be all set. I appreciate having a clock on the dash. Doesn't seem like that should be asking too much, but since that's not the case, we have to get inventive.

There are plenty on Ebay if you search for 12v clock. This is the one I ordered. Should mount nicely somewhere. I may even put one on my lawn tractor.

I agree with this guy...a cheap $30.00 Timex - use it whenever doing outside work with or without my tractor. a weekend watch kind of thing. I've broken a few of them, seem to last about 3 years, then just buy a new one. mine has a date too.

My high dollar clock (Right) this had been in a drawer for years thought this would be a good place for it.

There's a clock on eBay. You can find it by searching "Oxford Outdoor Clock". It's made to endure heat, cold, rain, vibration, etc. I'm ordering one today and will let you all know when it arrives.
