Yanmar YM1700
I got back in town last night and today after work I started cleaning up my new rig. Managed to get a ton of grease and slobber off of the tractor and a bunch of the green paint came right off with a normal garden hose with a decent nozzle. I bet the pressure washer will get a bunch of it off. The green seems to be sticking to the red pretty good but it comes right off of the silver, which I dont know if that silver paint, or bare metal. The roll over bar is very rusty and I think im gonna wire wheel it tonight over a few beers and then paint it. Anyways, pics attached.

Little TLC always good thing. :)

Would that be home built roll bar?

That silver looking color is actually a mint green and is the factory color you'll see on most of these model Ym, it was on my 1700 as well but quite worn through in many places, I wasn't able to find this color locally so I repainted over it a darker green of something ready available at most hardware stores,;)

Affirmative on the home built. As you can see in this pic, the lift arms actually hit the roll bar when lifted all the way up and it strains the pump, so I gotta figure out something else. Not the worst looking roll bar but would be nice to make it a convertible.

Rustoleum hammered verde green, from Home Depot makes a pretty good touch-up paint. You can paint right over rust.

I can see in the pic that you have the original upper three point bracket. Keep it update to a standard upper link. You will need the bracket if you ever use a yanmar tiller.

Think you can show me the upper link you speak of?

who ever built the ROPS looks to have built it to attach in the same method I did mine, .....
I believe this is the part Shawnjvl is speaking of, I havn't seen one before, is good to have an image available for folks looking for them,

The short adjustable upper link and the 'bridge' (my term) that extend back from your tractor, that is, everything in carey's photo, are specialized Yanmar parts to hook up a Yanmar tiller and lift it in a way that doesn't hit the tires.

In contrast, a Universal 3-point hitch, used on nearly all farm tractors since the days of Harry Ferguson (1939?) has a single longer link in place of those two Yanmar components.

Here is Hoye's diagram.

Sorry about that this is all it is.Looks like you have a Ghetto Rig of a toplink mount on your Mower. That is why they have the Tiller Top Link Backet on there. Get a longer adj. top link and just use your pins if you have other Implements. And yes keep up with the top link to the Tiller they can be hard to come by. Here is a Pic. of my Grn. mower setup :p And Chck your PM.;)

Oh Yeah Brandon also on your arms hitting your ROPS there should be an adjustment on the Left arm that when you want to keep them from hitting you can adjust the BLK. handled control to release pressure on the valve when it has gone as far up as you want it to go. Raise it up and watch the pin on the valve and you will see what I am talking about.

Oh I wondered what that gadget was for. When I was loading the tractor with the mower attached I had to lift the hitch all the way and the pump made a weird noise and belched some fluid out onto the ground almost right under the front axle on right side. That's when I realized the hitch was hitting the ROPS.
