Sirs,

My wife wants a smaller Cab tractor (with HST) with a front mounted snow blower, and to pull a Caroni 59" Flail mower.

All of my knowledge revolves around our L5303HSTC and similar or larger genre.

My first reflex is a Kubota B3030HSDCC (soon to be re-badged as B3000). I have no problem with that make and model if that is "The One", but I do not want to shortchange our knowledge.

Would you folks be so kind as to suggest comparative models from other manufacturers at a similar quality level?

If you have a Kioti dealer near you, take a look at the Kioti CK30HST. You can now get all the CK series tractors with a factory cab and if it's anything like the other Kioti cabs then it will be top notch.

The CK30 will certainly be priced competitively or lower compared to the Kubota B3030 plus it has a stronger loader (1,155lbs vs. 1,091lbs), Much higher output hydraulic pump (12.1 gpm vs. 9.1), longer and better warranty, stronger 3pt hitch (1,754lbs vs. 1,300lbs) and a heavier tractor overall (3,142 lbs vs. 1,852lbs).

You can also get the similar Bobcat CT230 which is the same exact tractor (same manufacturer) but has different loader and backhoe attachments.

All cabs will be professionally installed at your authorized Kioti tractor dealership. Included in this cab package are a built-in rollover protective structure (ROPS); wide, lockable doors; opening front and rear windows; window washer/wiper system; roof-mounted front work lights; side-view mirrors; heater and fan with temperature control; floor mats; dome lights; and an interior comfort package."

It sounds almost like an aftermarket, and no mention of A/C. Do you have additional info?

you gotta check out the new holland cabs, they hae a cvt transmission, awesoem to drive and simple

It's a new option so there is not much info on the website. Honestly, their website is not that great but the low marketing budget is probably one of the reasons they don't cost as much as some other orange and green tractors.

If you go to the main website (KIOTI - run ahead of the pack!) you will see this ad on the front page. That is a CK30 with the factory cab, I don't have any more info on it. That would be better answered by a dealer.

I LOVE my tractor, or else I wouldn't be recommending it.
I bought it brand new in Oct. 2005 and have over 400 hours now with not a second of downtime. It starts everytime I get on it whether it's -20F or 100F and works until I tell it to stop. I am still amazed with the power and what I can do with it as I get more used to it. I will keep it until it dies which I bet will be a LONG time. :thumbsup:

Kioti had a good display of cab tractors at an ag expo near us recently. They seemed like very nice cabs... comparable to some factory cabs. They were all noted as "dealer installed options". No A/C available, though. If I were shopping and didn't require A/C, they'd definitely be on the list of possibilities.

If there is no A/C, that puts it off of the list. We live in a true 4 season area and the winter to summer extremes can be 130 degrees (F): -30 in the winter and 104+ in the summer.

I will be honest and admit that I lean towards Kubota, but I want to retain intellectual integrity and research what is available in this genre.

I am not going to suggest a brand of tractor but I will suggest comparing dealerships in your area. Sometimes a bad dealership can make you hate a good tractor. To me having a reliable dealer that is trustworthy and fair is more important than brand....Just my two cents.

There are no dealerships in "our area".

Everything is distant with the Kubota dealer being the closest and that is 2 hours on a two lane road with no stops signs or lights.

Everything else is beyond that.
