Hey! Congratulations!

Having worked at airports for 6 years out of high school, I can honestly say that Power Tracs would be perfect for the job. In fact, the vehicle that I used to move airplanes around with was called an Air Horse. It was a hydraulically articulated wheelhorse tractor. Had a HUGE fork on the rear for slipping around airplane nose gears. It also had no front wheels. You sat on it's hood with the steering wheel between your legs. Kind of cantilevered out in space. That was my first introduction to hydraulics and articulation. What a great machine.

So you get yours on Thursday. Let us know how it goes. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Johara 1, do they not rate the PT422 commercial anymore? I wonder what the difference is between commercial and non-commercial.

About $2500 /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Just kidding. From the website, the 422 and under are listed as home owner machines and the 425 and up are listed as comercial. The 422 and under appear to have lower lift height, and there has been some discussion as to the strength of the wheel motors being increased on the 425 and up. It will take me a few days to read the entire new website. But it looks like fun reading.

Wheel motors

there has been a design change, for more torque of the wheel motors and different way that they are attached to the body of the pt, (as indicted in my post last week) ( Yes, the New 425 are out!
#239944 - 02/27/03 03:11 PM ) and under the same thread the answer for Terry that the conversion to the stronger wheel motors and higher lift capability "would be too costly". /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Re: Wheel motors

the wheel motors also mount diff. this may be the cost factor. if i can i will get the numbers off the new motors on the 425.
the lift height is easy enough to change if you have a welder.
