Currently planning out the lumber order for the garage i'm building, and I need to make my final decision on the door height. I know literature specs say 99.3 inches, but that's with rops up, and I believe ag tires. I'm trying to find the measurement with rops down and R4's.

Bonus if anyone has one with a backhoe on it....can you tell me if the backhoe is taller than the folded rops? Googling some pictures looks like it is, but it's hard to tell.

I left a message with the dealer, but he hasn't called back yet, and I need to get this lumber order out if I'm gonna have a chance of getting it before the 4th of July holiday.

Sorry, I don't have your answer. But I am looking at the 3510 for my next tractor, and keep finding myself pissed off that they made it 99" tall with ROPS when I have 8' garage doors. Might it be under 96" with R4s? Oy!

CK27, not CK3510, but ROPS folded down is exactly forehead height (multiple ouch).

Backhoe is taller than ROPS but still fits in garage door easily. ROPS up puts a dent in the garage. Oops.

We just got a CK3510se w/ R4 tires a few weeks ago. I want to say it's 76" with the ROPS folded. It fits in a 7' high garage door opening (which I want to say is more like 78" at the edge of the open garage door?), but with the back hoe in the stowed position it barely catches the edge of the overhead door. No big deal, you just have to reach up as you drive into in and pull the door up a bit (haven't tried adjusting the door yet). Might be a bit harder if you plan on backing in, though if not locked in place you can lower the back hoe a couple of inches. If you're using sliding or barn doors on the garage and have the full 7' height, no worries.

If backing out of the garage, make sure the entire bucket is clear of the door frame before turning. And if you have the hoe pivoted to the side when driving in, watch the clearance on that side, as it's wider than the wheel/tire. Ask me how I know...

I had the same worries with our Polaris Ranger, which also barely clears the garage door.

Thanks guys, sounds like an 8 foot door will be no problem at all.

At least the CK series has simple pins to pull and you can fold the ROPS down. Our sons L3940 has fine threaded blots you have to unscrew to lower it.

Are the bolts threaded into the ROPS itself, or do they have nuts? If nuts, and they go all the way through, I'm sure you can replace them w/ some PTO or hitch pins.

That's what you were worried about? It was only 3" over 8' with the ROPS up to begin with. sheesh, haha.

Haha, no, sorry, I was trying to decide between a 7ft or 8ft door, and since it sounds like a 7 makes for a tight fit, I decided to go with 8 to make it an easy fit. I realize now that I didn't say that in my original post.

Haha no problem, I was just a bit confused.

Ok I am digging into the details a bit further on this. The height (99") on the ROPS model is spec'd with AG tires. Rear size 11.2-24, which my research shows means a 43.x" tall rear tire. However if I ever save enough pennies to go get my 3510, it will be on R4 industrial tires, which they spec as 15-19.5, which are ~40" tall. This means the height of the ROPS on R4s should be right around 97.5", in other words, just a tiny bit too dang tall for 8' doors with the ROPS left up.

Pretty sure I would forget to fold it down and smack my garage door trim off at least once or twice. Dangit, Kioti, just shorten the ROPS 3" already.
