ck30hst tach stopped!

2005 ck30hst, tach just stopped working!

Any fix ideas?

Found tach sensor bottom R of engine, using manual; it had cracked and the part the connector was attached to had separated about 1/8" from the body of the sensor. Don't know how this could happen except vibration.

Note that the actual body of the sensor has cracked, not the connector separating from the sensor.

When I pushed the sensor back together, the tach worked.
