( My protective cap broke off about 20 hours ago - anyone have a replacement suggestion?

I've also noted that my hydraulic stoppers ( those colored rubbery caps/plugs) haven't weathers well either, 2 have broken off and the rest look a bit frail. )
You wanted to live in sunny Hawaii, and you got it! LOL
My igintion cap is still holding on and looks fairly good. The rubber QD plugs succumbed to the sun's effects last year and the little ring that goes around the hose just let go.

I managed to recover them both and tired zip tying them to the hose, but they eventually fell off.

I'm going to just get some more from my dealer. If you want, I'll get you some plugs and a new cover and mail them to you. Just send me a PM if you want to do that.

The keyhole cap is pretty important. The colored QD caps are a joke, mine were chalky and rotten from the get go and fell off early on. No problem though since I don't take the loader off unless I am forced to because of it breaking. I do not intend to replace those QD plugs.

I should have said that the plugs were the ones for the backhoe QDs. Those are important to have when the backhoe is off because of all the dirt than can get in them. I have to blow them out really well with compressed air before I hook up to keep sand from getting into the system.

Yes, I agree, if the hydraulic connections are female and will be disconnected regularly I would seek new plugs and even might step up to a much fancier aftermarket type. I cringe at the thought of sand entering the system.

Maybe Grainger or a hydraulic supply place would have something better for caps?
