CK30hst 4WD knob replacement needed

The 4WD knob is PLASTIC and stripped. it no longer stays on the threaded rod.

Has anyone done a fix for this?

What thread is the rod?

I packed mine full of 2 part epoxy putty and threaded it on before it set. It's been holding up pretty good ever since. Crappy design by Kioti. Should have metal insert.

Thanks all. Was thinking of the epoxy route, also getting a threaded rod connector and a short piece of rod, then the epoxied knob...

Just the epoxy alone might be better. Adding the rod connector may set the knob out far enough to catch your foot getting on & off. Depends on your shoe size.

I just left the knob off fo mine. Make sure to lube the linkage and shafts thoroughly, I found that helped allot to make it easier to move the knob.

I had the same problem and just used a hacksaw to cut back the plastic knob about 1/2 inch where it threads in and it reattached.... really tight now.
