CK30 Broken Injector pump solved

Hi folks:

Thanks for the collective wisdom from the forum and especially the informational pages maintained by Ritcheyvs.

Following the diagnostic tutorial by TBN member Bernty and posted on Ritcheyvs page I determined that the pump failed on my 2008 CK30.

I sent the pump to TBN poster "thepumpguysc." He also asked for the injectors. He would test them as part of the price for rebuilding the pump.

He found that two teeth on the No. 1 cylinder sleeve had broken off. I had the pump back within a week. "thepumpguysc" was very clear and active in communicating every step of the way. He even tolerated my rookie questions when I was confused about the installation.

Much cheaper than buying a new pump. I recommend his services.

According to this web page the main occurrence of failures seems limited to Kioti tractors built between 2005 and 2008.

I would hazard a guess that pumps used by Kioti during this period had suspect heat treating (or other metallurgical flaws) in the injection pump sleeves.

Thepumpguysc replaced all three sleeves in my pump.

I understand that Bobcats were rebranded Kiotis for a while, but I know nothing definitive. Look at the data base linked on the web page I cited above. That may offer some clues.
