long time reader of the forum but first time poster...great forums! In the Kioti brand I'm looking at the 25 vs the 30, HST with FEL, backhoe, PH digger, brush hog. I'd appreciate feedback on the brands and sizes of the attachments..I'm a first time newbie.. not a sucker though...

I've got 20 acres mostly hills want to dig some water lines, clear brush, snow blow or plow, grade mile long driveway, etc...no mowing with it...how big of an issue is the cracking with the kioti FEL? Should I get a woods backhoe vs the kioti ( I want a thumb too).

why would I go with the 25 vs 30? The 20 feels too small for me even though it's highly spoken of. Dealers, shoot me some quotes please via PM - I'm buying in the next week or so...prefer out of state to save on tax.

Having a "smaller" CK20, I can't recommend attachments too well, but the JRW 60" snowblower for the 3pt hitch will chomp through any snow you can find and never bog down the motor. Even on a 17 pto hp CK20 HST. I was going through packed bankings on the side of the highway 3' tall and solid wet snow.

Personally, I think the CK25 is just going to be cheaper and save some gas, but it's still just has big with a smaller motor.

Another is if you are looking for dealers, Batchelder Sales in Lebanon, ME has been awesome. I purchased my CK20 brand new last September from them at lower price than others plus they included the 50 hour service with transportation and a brush guard and 16" BH bucket FREE! They came and picked up the tractor and performed the 50 hr service and dropped it off in only 2 days. I have been very pleased with there service and will continue to do business with them. Also they are on these forums (Batche33) which makes it that much easier to keep in touch.

Good Luck!

How big is the issue with the KL130 loaders.
Well, that depends on your tolerance for problems of any sort I would suppose. Judging from responses to the list of those with and without cracks, I don't think it's huge, but any problems like that will be solved much easier than the one that caused such a ruckus.

That fiasco was brought on by major miscommunications on the part of most of the players, but will be resolved fairly, and I hope, quickly.

Any of the current loaders in that model, in my estimate, will run the risk of cracking due to the decrease in support strength in the area in question, the crossmember where hydraulic hoses run.

The thumb of which you speak is on Woods' loaders, not the front end loader. That would be a grapple, and any loader can have a grapple attachement added. Actually, any backhoe can too, one way or another. Woods offers a "factory" thumb on their BH.

One member and I have discussed this issue extensively, and he plans to go ahead and add his own reinforcement before his has any cracks. He's adding 1/4" flat plate which has an oval cut out, extending beyond the ends of the current hole all around, welding that on, and then using the original cover with longer bolts to accommodate the extra thickness. I think this will greatly improve the strength and stability.

As I said in another thread, if one is concerned, get a Woods, or Rhino loader if they have one for that model.

Either of the two tractors will do what you want to do, but personally, if buying again now, I'd be going with the CK30, just because I want all the extra power. But then, I'd be keeping my CK20 so I'd want a bigger difference than just 4 HP.
