CK25 RPM Gauge

Does anyone no what runs the RPM gauge on a 2006 CK25, is it cable driven or electrical? Mine has started jumping up and down between o and 10 no mater what the rpms are at.

Yup it's 'lectric. I am not sure if it runs off the alternator or if it is hall effect.

It runs off a speed sensor at the flywheel.

Does anyone no where on the flywheel it is located? I looked in the manual and can't really see where it is located.

Look for a thing with wires coming out of it on the bellhousing.

At front of motor in area of the injector pump.

correct bti. look around and below where the injection pump is mounted. on the front cover of engine and there is a black plastic piece with 2 screws holding it in place. wires coming out of it that is your pick up. remove from block, clean pick up, reinstall. check plug where harness plug into sensor, make sure of no corrosion. used dielectric grease to reinstall plug in sensor.
