thanks for clearing up the shifting on the CK20. I'll be in touch with this dealer shortly. If I decide on this tractor, I'll be sure to buy one from the warehouse. Just to be clear on the 1914.Must you stop before shifting?? It did shift like it was synchro. Thanks

the main gears on the LB1914 are syncro..... you can shift on the go by clutching.... however when you use the shuttle you must be at a stop....

Just pick up some brochures for the CK20 and the LB1914. the CK20 (gear) reads Synchro/Constant. LB1914 reads Full Synchomesh w/ Mechanical Shuttle. All of this means What?? Thanks to all that replied.

........ but if you have a REALLY fast left leg and arm you could do the 'ol "double clutch" thing /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif. I only got it to work a couple of times when I owned my CK20 gear and that was on a down hill where the tractor wouldn't lose speed, could never do it on flat ground /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Jon, can you explain how the mechanical shuttle shift works on the LB1914. (instead of asking dealer) thanks
