I was field mowing yesterday and every thing was working fine. I stopped to Grease the u joints any lifted the brush cutter all the way up to inspect the blades. When I started the tractor and tried to lower the brush deck nothing happened. I have read other post on this issue and they all seem to point to the turtle/ rabbit knob or the rear remotes being engaged. I checked both and played with them and still nothing happened. It almost seems like something inside is broken and the linkage is no longer making the pump work. Has anyone faced this issue without it being one of the obvious issues.

Well the classic answer is that the large lowering speed control knob below the seat and facing forward is turned to far in. Maybe try different combinations of knob position and trying to raise/lower.

Mike thanks for the response. I've tried every thing with that knob and still nothing.

PL, you may need some weight on the 3pt to bring it down. Your post says all the way up and wont move up or down.

If its all the way up, it wont go higher and may not come down on its own without some weight. Verify the knob is set to fast vs slow/stop, then try standing on the arms when you operate the lever to go down.

Careful you dont slip off and skin your chin on the toolbox.

I though he said he still had the mower on it.. In my opinion it is in need of teardown, and inspection.

The mower was on and the hitch still did not move. Tried jumping on it and using a pry bar still nothing.

That's why I always recommend a hydraulic top link with the lock valve.
They stay where you put them.

Has a orifice in the line and still leaks down.
