Snow CK 20S Blowing Snow

I have a CK 20S and had my first experience blowing snow with it today ! I have a 54" puma blower on it and they work great together. The only concern that I have is every time I depress the clutch to either change gears or shift from forwards to reverse there is a clicking noise from the underside ?? Is this normal ?? It is not a loud clicking noise but you can definitly here it and it only does it when the pto is engaged ?

If you do a seach for CK20 noise or something similar in this forum, you will find this discussed several times. It is the overrun clutch making a ratcheting type noise. Keeps the implement from driving the tractor and is normal.

Hey thanks so much for the info, I was a little worried when I first heard the noise and wasn't sure if it was normal or not ?? Gotta love tractorbynet.com for getting any info you need and bring on the snow now that I know that noise is normal.

As mentioned, that is the overrun clutch and normal. When I disengage the rear PTO, I just slide the PTO lever to off without using the clutch. I use the clutch to ENGAGE the PTO but not to DISENGAGE.

I have a 60" JRW on my CK20HST and it works great on even the heavy wet snow.

Many thanks to the "askers" and the "answerers" on this forum. The info is most useful. I've had my CK30 now for just a couple of months, and wondered if disengaging PTO with lever only was appropriate. This is my first contest with the "double clutch" method, but I like the way it works.
