I don’t even pretend to understand the scope of social media

One of my daughters best friends is a major YouTuber. Currently has 14.5 million subscribers. He is gifted and manages his content to his liking and makes LESS money than You-tubers with LESS subscribers.

He uses his YouTube platform to drive people to his podcasts and OTHER social media platforms in order to MAXIMIZE his income.

I personally don’t like Chucke but I wouldn’t necessarily dismiss him as being dumb (financially).

Having a very well paying channel built like that, without having to do much to maintain it after this long, I don't think I'd do much to jeopardize that. Literally saying things like "WWII never should have happened" or "wrong side won" (comments on bitchute by him that I recall), I'd probably not put that kind of stuff out in my name, 'cause pretty sure that's going to tick a few people off, to say the least.... But, I guess, him feeling that message is important and using the large base to push that was more important than money to him. Personally, I think there are enough politics without that going on. I'm just glad I live where I do, most people are friendly, do anything for you, and they don't care much if you have a different opinion than they do.

I did like a few of the older videos, I don't mind seeing some product reviews by different perspectives, or doing normal stuff around the place (even if going about it in a screwy way at times). I was hopeful there'd be a "normal" video of just doing stuff sometime so I'd check every number of days and read comments. Part of me also thought a train wreck was coming at some time. Last one he posted I didn't watch much. I guess in that he was blaming immigrants on the issues with UPS (by some of the comments I read, like I said, didn't watch much of it).

Bitchute, a while back all videos were gone except for two older "normal" ones. I reread the forum post where I got the info he posted before, FBI visit was more recent, like January. Actual police visit was August-September last year. He explained his side. I don't know about posting the link here, lots of ...iffy talk on that forum (he refers to youtube, replacing "you" with "Jew", for instance). When I saw his channels were gone, I searched by date (limiting to the last month/week, etc.), that's how I found this thread too. Seeing some of the comments, videos posted, etc., I guess seeing that the law was involved isn't much of a surprise.

If ever there was a clear case of self-destructive social behavior, this is it. I'm for freedom of speech, but I am also for bearing the consequences of your speech. Sometimes people try to divorce the two. But everyone is right in his own mind. Sometimes it takes a dose of reality to set things straight.

Reminds me of an old joke I heard...

An old southern preacher and one his deacons were meeting after church discussing the woes of the world. After an hour of heart felt expression of what was wrong in the world, and full cycle of talk brought things back around, there was a short lull in the conversation. After a minute, of thought, and reflecting, the Deacon said, "Preacher, I've come to the conclusion that the only two people in this world that are right are me and you, and sometimes I wonder about you."

I kinda lucked out by catching his review of my Everlast welder AFTER I bought it, but at least before he vanished from the web.

I was looking at some videos by Jodi of Welding tips and tricks today. Suddenly there appeared old Chucke welding videos under a channel called “welding videos”. It only has about 600 subs. A shadow of his former glory.

I'm NOT defending him, but I can understand some people just reaching their limit and then imploding and not giving two hoots about anything but being heard.
I watched over the years and saw youtube picking away at him and others. Youtube ALWAYS collects money from the videos posted and is supposed to "give back" a percentage to the content makers. What they started doing is looking for something anything to "DEMONITIZE" a person's content.

They kept doing it to Chukee and a lot of his friends and he went off the deep end one day. I'm sure it was building up, but us watchers just saw one day he was Chukee and the next he was not the Chuckee we all knew.

He made his bed and he now needs to lay in it. I know a lot of guys that will cut off your nose in spite of your face. I'm one of them so I understand. Chuckee went way, way, way,off the ranch on some of his rants. He must have has some deep pent-up anger and it only took one more thing to trigger him and off he went

Do a search for LANCE EDWARDS that is Chuckee real name

Lance is just like every other Youtuber. Knows enough to create a channel that teaches other his bad habits.
I guess that's cool if you like people sending you free garbage to review.

The best reviews come from the guys who paid for the garbage :)

What a treat it was after buying my Everlast (on my own analysis) that I looked for reviews of the model (20-20 hindsight ) and found his from several years ago. It was a 'Gen 1', first out, etc, vs my "Gen +" by the current 4-roller vs 2-roller wire feed. Familiar with his talent (guy can weld!) he spoke well of every feature I'd been drawn to.

Anyway, I never saw any of his ranting or politics (me 'topical searches' vs 'follow' somewhere) so I really miss the schooling/education I could easily find 'back when'. :(

UH, did I mention how well that guy could weld and how much I learned from his videos?

I only read back through a few comments in this thread so please forgive me if the link to Chucke's new Youtube channel has been posted before. In case the link doesn't work he's named it "Official Welding & Farming Archive".
I subscribed mainly because Chuck's early welding videos are basic enough to help me with my welding and wanted them for reference. I haven't watched even one of the repost in its entirety and don't know if he's added or deleted any content. I "Rang that bell" and get notices that he's put up another one quite often.

Here's the link:

According to people who track such, Chuckee got rolling as a highschool kid back about 16 years on Wannabe Web.

"Heck, even Lanse, who back then was just a young graduating high school student at the time, showing us his welds and asking us which welding school he should go to (he chose Hobart, and eventually became YouTube famous as ChuckE2009, and later infamous in 2019) isn't here to talk about his choices in shielding gas, or in life."

From what I could tolerate looking at a couple of his videos, he'd be a fine candidate for a Hall Monitor or Welding School Instructor.
