CHOPPER HELP

I have gas JD3020 with 6' bush hog that was given to me. Currently my $ is tight and jd318 lawn mower is down. Been using chopper to mow yard(not shootin for yard of the month)but is there a way to keep the front end of the chopper up other than the normal use of 3pt lift...my 3pt is very touchy going all the way up to allthe way down causing me to scalp the dirt at times....any mods im up for....ty for your time

A friend of mine mowed his yard for years with a similar set up to what you have. He added a set of gauge wheels to each front corner on the outside of the mower. They didn't swivel and they weren't adjustable. As I recall they were close enough to the rear tires that slight skidding around corners wasn't a problem.

Thank ya guys for the help!!!! I truly thankful cause growing up on the humbled side my whole life I ve had to take junk from others and make it work for me...but glad I did. This chopper is start to get the best of me just cost me trip to ER to get metal removed from my eye....oh forgot dry socket from tooth bein pulled too.. but thank ya guys so much for the ideas let ya what I get to work....good luck with your challenges
