Ok...we will get OT now. But as you have stated...itエs a thing of give and take. They tried to make Dieselfuel make expensive here too...ok expensiver the gasoline. But thast was a only for profit. Lot of Diesel cars will mean more $$ at the station...but now they lowered the price and it is like it was all the time, Diesel cheaper then Gas.
Yes, the Diesel engines are more complicated then the gasoline and replacing a fuelpump or check the nozzles will cost a lot of bucks. Cheap gasoline in the states, so why choose a complicated Diesel? Here it never was a question. Tractors use Dieselengines and the Hercules or VW gassers on the Claas combines disappeared very fast.
As a mechanic for agmachinery I have been trained on Diesel, all the guys before and after me, too. For europe it is the best solution, if it comes to ag- and constructionmachinery and trucks.
I have told, that all our 2wheelers are gasoline driven and we have a 2 rideon mowers, too.
Ok..Agria is an old twostroke engine, Gutbrod has Lombardini and Iseki a Kawasaki, but if it comes to a fuel blow out it is our Viking (american yard mach?es) mower. 2 litres of uel for 2 hrs of work, without collecting and a 13 hp engine is a way too much. But in that case I have to go with you. For the price of a used rideon with Briggs engine compared to one, with a Diesel, I can do a lot of mowing with the gasser.
