image.jpgimage.jpg. Is there anyway I can check this block for cracks without removing the crank?

It was mentioned in your other thread. You have the engine out so take it to an engine or machine shop and have it magnafluxed. They will find cracks if there are any and not be too costly.

Can they magnaflux it with the crank still in the motor.

They can check any surface that is visible. I doubt there would be damage under the crank. Since the head has cracks the next thing to check would be the top and sides of the block and cylinder bores. They can rotate the crank to check the cylinder bores without removing the pistons.

Magnaflux will find it. You can go over the head surface with a 3m disk, then follow up with a hand held wire brush kinda at a diagonal. Cracks show up that way.
