Cheap Cab

While at HD I noticed a soft cab mounted on an Ariens snowblower. I started thinking how I could mount it on my Honda 5013 tractor. I bought one and after a few hours of work have it mounted. It's not perfect and I'll have to wait for some snow to find out how well it works. I made it pivot on the front mounts so you can climb in and then it rests on the roll bar. Hopefully it will keep the snow off me.

I'm considering a golf cart cover if my snowblower build works. What do you guys do about condensation? Without heat don't they fog up?

Had a chance to try out my cheap cab. The snow was more like slush so it didn't blow around much. Seems to keep the wind off me and didn't fog up. The windshield got wet but nothing stuck on it. I mounted it a bit too close to the steering wheel so I can open the hood but it's a Honda so I won't have to open it very often. Next year, when it's warm again, I'll change the mount.

If it keeps the snow off your face also clumps of snow falling from trees hiting you..ouch,time and money well spent.

We had an ATV cover on our 1523, and we did have some condensation build up, but that is still better than being freezing and wet!!
