I had my mechanic out to do a complete tune up. Hydraulic drained and replaced same with oil. All filters replaced. He just drove it back and forth a bit and checked the fork lift and back lift worked. I was ill so did not get on until today several months later. Tractor will not drive forward or back. Could their be air in the line? If maybe which one and how do i fix?

That's a mechanical transmission with a dry clutch, so it's not a fluid issue. I would say he put some of the levers in Neutral that you don't usually do and now won't move. Have you checked all the levers to see if it's in gear?

There is the range lever + reverse on the left side and the main gears (1st to 4th) on the right side of the seat. I imagine one of these is in Neutral.

First thank you for answering

I know at this point both are in neitral. The right hand gear was in first, when i first started i put left in first and no movement. How should I have gears?

How should the gears be arramged?

You choose the direction you want to go (forward or reverse) with the left lever. Then with the right lever, you choose what gear you want from 1st to 4th.

The left lever also choose either high or low range for forward only.

Both levers have to be in gear for the tractor to move.

I had a little experience like this, buying a backhoe from an old farmer... he mentioned he was having problems with a tractor, not moving... I don't remember exactly but he had (or some kids) moved one of the levers into neutral. I think it was High/Low - I asked about it and he said, that he never touched that one!!!

Once he engaged it, everything was fine... he was planning to have the dealer come out to pick it up!!!

I agree. There is one lever that i never touch. So i think thats why im confused.
