Kubota BX2200
I currently have a BX2200 with a 60" MMM purchased new in 2001. It has about 825 hrs on it and have been very happy with it. I'm looking to trade and I'd like some opinions from you smart guys.
As background, I mow about 2.5 acres of yard endlessly and 3 acres of pasture twice a year. I disk about 1/2 acre for garden and I use a 4' blade for various projects.
I've looked at the new BX's. Nice looking and ,I hope, solidly built, but I really don't like the two-pedal design. What a PITA.
I looked at JD-OK but too much money.
A neighbor has a MF GC2310. Nice machine, comfortable, capable.
I'd like to hear about pros and cons on BX 23 , 24, 25 vs. GC 2300, 2400, 2600.
Thanks

You might look at the smaller B series kubota tractors. The are a bit bigger than the BX but might be an upgrade

Look at the Kubota B2320 and the Massey 1523 as well. They are just a little larger than the BX or GC and I think comparable in price, weight, power. For your purposes the slightly larger machine might actually be better. Pulling the disks and bushog. I looked at these brands before eventually I bought a Kubota. I could have gone with either but found a better deal on a used orange machine. Green tractors are way overpriced in my neighborhood.

Thanks for the suggestions. With all the trees, shrubs and flower beds in the yard, a BX or GC is actually the right size. I was really looking for real world experience with either of the newer models that might tip me one way or the other.

Well- the MF came out with subcompact recently and it hasn't been time tested yet. My father has the larger MF1250 and he loves it. If you stay with the kubota's, avoid the BX 50 series due to transmission stop issues which is what I have and still plan to keep. I think it really boils down to customer service and not the machine itself. If you been using the kubota and love it other then the HST pedal and dealer treats you right, why not stay with the BX's? I think no matter what brand you get, you will always find that particular model quirk and it will work it way up to drive you nuts.

I have used John Deeres and now own a 425 and 2305, but prefer the HST controls on the new Kubotas BX and six months ago bought a new BX2660; just depends on what best fits you and for me it's the BX. Good luck.
